The cut-to-length method involves feeding the master steel coil into a cut to length line, whereby they are cut into various lengths. Intense pressure is applied to the material to flatten it into sheets and stack the produced sheets on skids as per customer specification.

Blanking is the process to produce multiple finished slit blanks or sheets from coiled stock. Blanking reduces waste, conserves cost and material expenses as the machines are set up to create blanks as close together as possible. Instead of manufacturing an entire sheet metal piece, we are talking about producing small blanks as per customer specification.

A slitting line uses sharp rotary blades to cut a master coil into multiple narrower rolls based on specific width or weight, often referred to as slit, mults or strips. It is a continuous process where a master coil is fed into the slitting line to manufacture smaller coils of any desired size. The slit coils are further recoiled.

Recoiling happens to be an integral process of the slitting process where the metal, after being uncoiled, trimmed, or slit, is rewound as a smaller coil. The sit metal is rewound immediately after it leaves the slitter head and tension unit at high speed. The smaller coils are then packaged for shipping as per customer specifications.
